I made this dress for Lauren, my youngest daughter for 2008 prom. This is a Vogue pattern and it fit her well. She was beautiful that night.
Her date Chris took a sample of her fabric and picked out his shirt and the fabric around his hat.
They looked stunning and had an enjoyable evening never to forget!

How "Lady B" Got Started
- I've been sewing all my life. I come from a family of seamstresses so I started making clothes for my Barbie dolls. I used the scrap fabric from my mom's formals that she made using my little girl's hand-cranked Singer sewing machine.
- At the age of nine I took my first sewing class in the summer making my first pair of bell bottoms. It was so difficult but i did it!
- I made it all formal receiving two degrees; B.S and M.S. in Apparel Studies and Textiles from Thee Ohio State University. There I took all the classes before they became extinct; flat pattern, draping, tailoring, alterations, fashion illustration and a summer class with designer Charles Kliebacker.
- After receiving my second degree I became a faculty member at OSU for seven and one half years where I taught classes. I also developed a statewide volunteer program entitled 4-H Master Clothing Educators, giving direction to over 100 volunteers in all 88 counties throughout Ohio, who helped 4-H'ers with their clothing projects. I taught classes for the volunteers that included alterations, textiles, serger basics, heirloom sewing, personal coloring and other related classes.
- For your enjoyment I have included some of my designs and outfits that I have made over the years for family, friends and acquaintances.
